Trek To Ajoba and valmiki ashram

About Ajoba:

Ajoba is one of the highest peaks in Sahyadri. Ajoba can be climbed either from eastern or from western side. The climb from eastern side takes longer time. There is a Valmiki Ashram at half way to the Ajoba. The rest path to the top is said to be risky during monsoon. Near the Ashram, there is a small hut where we can stay. A small water stream provides us with pure water. The way beyond Ashram leads to a rivulet, crossing which we can reach the cave of ‘LUV-KUSH’. To reach this spot we have to ascend the way of waterfall for one and half hour. Above this cave there is a Steep Cliff called ‘Cradle of Sitamai’. In the cave there are the carved “Padukas” or the footprints of Luv and Kush. This Steep Cliff is a real challenge for trekkers. The ashram is a sacred place and people from all over Maharashtra come here. There are some carved stones near the ashram, on which some carved idols depict some story.

Day 1

11.15 pm   Come to.

11.30 pm  Depart towards Ajoba.

Day 2

06.00 am Reach at base village.

06.30 am After briefing, immediately start the Ajoba trek.

08.30 am Reach at valmiki ashram. have tea & breakfast at the ashram.

09.00 am Start trek towards luv-Kush cave & above this cave there is a Steep Cliff called ‘Cradle of Sitamai’.

10.30 am Reach luv-Kush cave.

11.30 am Start descending the Ajoba.

12.45 pm Have lunch at Ashram.

02.00 pm Start walk towards Base village.

04.00 pm Depart towards   { Mumbai  / Pune.}

11.30 pm Reach { Mumbai  / Pune.} with Happy memories.

Charges

Rs.1500 /- Per head { mumbai to Mumbai}

Rs.1800 /- Per head  {  Pune to  Pune }

Transport by Private Non AC High back Vehicle

What to Bring?

·         A Good Quality of Rucksack with all inside Luggage packed in a Plastic Bag.

·         Minimum 2 Ltr. Water Bottles. (Compulsory)

·         Extra Dress, Morning Utilities

·         Don’t Forget to Bring Plate, Bowl, and Spoon.

·         Rainproof / Sun Cap / Warm Wear as per Season.

·         Napkin, Torch with Cell Compulsory.

·         Glucon – D OR Electrol – Optional

·         Shoes Compulsory in a Good Condition while trekking. (Floaters / Sandals Not Allowed.)

·         Floaters / Chappel (For Return Journey in Bus))

·         Dress Code – T-shirt, Flexible Track pant. (HALF PANT NOT ALLOWED)

·         Any type of addictions like tobacco, Liquor, etc is strictly not allowed.

·         Personal Medicines, if any.

■ It is up to the individual to arrange their own holiday / accident insurance & each adult would be asked to sign a liability waiver.

■ Adventure Aim hold the right to change the venue, or date, of the event,

■ Event may be cancelled or postponed due to natural calamity, any system error,

■ In case event place or venue is changed, Adventure Aim will notify same to participants by phone, web and Face book, no change in costing will be charged.

■ All our treks are Eco-friendly treks; kindly take care of nature around us. Smoking and Drinking alcohol during trek is strictly prohibited if anyone found doing that will be expelled from trek without refund.
