One Day Trek to Mahuli fort

About: 

Mahuli Fort at 2815 ft, is a popular trekking destination and a paradise for rock climbers because of many nearby pinnacles with interesting names like Vazir, Vishnu, etc., given by the local trekking and climbing fraternity. This mountain complex is actually a group of two or more hills with common cols and pinnacles.

It is the highest point in the Thane district. The forest surrounding Mahuli has been declared as a sanctuary. Once Shahaji Raje, father of Ch. Shivaji Maharaj, had this fortress.

Itinerary:

Train Timing (CST – Asangaon Slow Local at 06:06 am), Meeting at : 08:10 am Asangaon Station.

06:14 am Byculla

06:24 am Dadar

06:34 am Kurla

06:40 am Ghatkopar

07:01 am Thane

07:24 am Dombivili

07:34 am Kalyan   

07:47 am Titwala

08:09 am Asangaon

Carry return tickets to Asangaon from your Boarding Places

8:45 Hrs: Move to Base village by Privet Vehicle.

08.45 Hrs: Start Breakfast.

09:30 Hrs: Start Ascend.

12:00 Hrs: Top.

12:00-13:00 Hrs: Admire the View from Top & Explore, Rest and Lunch (To be carried by participants from home)

15:30 Hrs: Descend back to Base.

16:00 Leave for Asangaon station after tea/snacks

16:30 Hrs: Asangaon Station

We’ll try to catch 16:44 Hrs Asangaon CST train reach Mumbai by 18:30 Hrs (Tentative)

It is advised to board the second last compartment of the train from your respective stations so that we can meet in the compartment itself

Note: If Local trains are not allowed to run by the event date, we will arrange alternate transportation (bus) from Mumbai (Dadar) the cost of this transportation will be additional approx 500 Per Person or you can travel with your own vehicle
