Camp Route Bhatsai is a riverside campground at Vasind is a homely escape just outside the bumbling Mumbai cityscape. The destination is flanked by the Mahuli mountains and the lovely Bhatsa river ambles by the camp.

You live in tents, enjoy your tea/coffee, personalized experiences complete with barbecues, campfire, hammock, and enjoy camp-life! But if you need the action, trek the Mahuli hills, go for a kayak safari or off-road in our jeep (Check Easy Adventures)

Our hosts are expert anglers and the destination is a fishing enthusiast's delight

Yoga in the lawn, hammocks among chickoo trees are appended with clean toilets and showers giving the camp feel of a second home.Our common areas have games and puzzles, and the thrill of playing "Jenga", "Taboo" or "Scrabble" in the outdoors is a must-experience. Plan some reading, sketching or other do it yourself activity ideas and enrich your experience.

Showers and WCs are common to campers. These are well maintained to suit urban standards.

Easy Adventures offers a range of activities around camp. Some of these activities are free for our campers and some chargeable but all of them are worth the indulgence. Give your self to the experience and you'll find something within!

Fishing

Indulge in rod and trap fishing in the day and lobster fishing at night on the house. Consider this our contribution to your fishing endeavor. Make the effort to get into the activity and our instructors will ensure an authentic experience!
To complete your fishing expedition, we will plate your catch for a nominal additional fee!

 Campsite well suite for families; couples; small groups

We also give exclusive bookings of the entire campground for a group size of over 35 persons. Our entire campground has around 7 camping sites. 

You can try your hand at Paddy farming during the monsoon camping season.

 CAMPGROUND RULES

1. Please respect silent hours (11:00pm to 7:00am)

2. Please drive at max 5km/hr in the campground premises.

3. Our timings are: Check-in between 8am and 8pm and; Check-out by 10:30am the next day for a night of camping. We enjoy your company at the campground and we don't have very strict check-out timing rules. All the same, if we need to allow the site to guests coming post checkout time we will request you to vacate.

4. Please respect others' privacy and do not tress pass on other people's campsites.

5. Playing music at the campground is not permissible.

6. No unauthorized electrical appliances at the campground. Please check with the manager before using your devices.

7. Pets are not allowed at the campground.

8. Meal Timings are 8-9:30am, 12:30-2pm & 8-9:30pm

9. Please leave the Tents pitched and the sleeping bags in the tents for our checkout procedure. Please ensure that you return all rental items before leaving the campground and leave your campsite neat and; tidy.

What if I have my own tent and no sleeping bags?

You are most Welcome to bring your own equipment. We want to encourage experienced campers!. You will get a per person discount of Rs.100 for your tent.

What is the weather like? Do we need to carry any special kind of clothing?

Be prepared for the outdoors. The evenings can get chilly in winter. A single sweater should do the trick. The afternoons can get warm throughout the year, so carry some light clothing too! Refer to our PREP KIT pdf for details on what to carry.

Are there a lot of bugs, snakes and creepy crawlies around?

You will encounter sounds and creatures of nature. They respect our presence. Watch your step in the dark and use mosquito repellent and you should be fine. Your tent is sealed to not allow any insects in. Ensure that you close the door, and you will have a pleasant night's stay

Are there electrical plug points available? Yes.

Is there a cell phone signal?

You will get a cellphone signal in patches only at a certain place at the campground. You cannot depend on this. Do WhatsApp us at 9892619362 we will try and relay the message from your contact to call back.

What about drinking water? Can we buy some basic supplies at the campground in case we've forgotten something?

Drinking water and Mineral water will be available at the campground.

Do you accept credit/debit cards?

No credit cards/debit cards accepted at the campsite.

Do you have sites so a group/corporate/education institution can camp together? Do you offer any discounts for booking the entire campground?

Star parties at Dehene are a camping & stargazing experience that celebrates the scenic beauty and the clear dark skies!

This itinerary and Stargazing are subject to clear skies – in case the skies get cloudy the organisers may not be able to do much and a refund will not be possible.

This being said, keep your fingers crossed for clear skies.

Things to Carry:

Carry your id proof like aadhaar card, pan card, driving licence.

Carry warm cloths (Jackets, sweaters, shawl). The temperature considerably (13-14 Degrees) drops during the night time.

The Campsite is close to the forest area so please wear socks and shoes if possible.

Carry a torch, you will need it in the dark. Also don’t forget to cover it with red cellophane paper (gelatin paper).

 

We will advise you to carry some snacks and soft drinks since you won’t be able to buy anything around the field. Please carry drinking water bottle, you will be able to refill the water.

Carry your medication and mosquito repellent cream.

Carry a Diary and Pen in case you would want to make note of things.

For Astrophotography, the participants should bring in their own DSLR Camera, Tripod, Remote, Charger, Extra Battery and Intervalometer. Astrophotography will include star trails and landscape milkyway photography.

Drinking and smoking in the observation field are strictly prohibited.

We have a provision for separate washrooms for males & females.

This is an edutainment program. All are requested to maintain the spirit of the program and co-operate. No unruly behaviour toward fellow participants will be tolerated.

Parking facility for private vehicles are available.

No one should wander off the field. Do not visit the forest area on your own even during the day time.

Any kind of misbehaviour which causes a disturbance to other participants will not be tolerated and immediate action will be taken against the person or the group.

An important point to remember Event Partner Stargazing Mumbai is a voluntary base group of some Amateur Astronomers, our aim is to spread and popularise Astronomy.

 

COVID-19 SAFETY:

1. Each and every member of the team wears protective mask while interacting with each other. It is compulsory for all the participants too, to wear masks and maintain distance while interacting.

2. If you have any symptoms like fever, dry cough, weakness, body aches, etc., at the time of screening, you won’t be able to participate in the event.

3. It is strongly recommended to wear full sleeves shirts/t-shirts, full pants and shoes.

4. Strictly avoid eating pan masala, smoking cigarettes or sniffing, actions which induce spitting, coughing or sneezing.

5. Avoid touching external surfaces and touching your mask and face continuously.

 

6. Carry hand wash and sanitizers; and clean your hands before touching food and other personal objects.

7. Try to wear caps, and face bandana over your mask. Covering up will help reduce exposure to the Covid19 virus.

8. Please cooperate during temperature checks, questioning for any symptoms, and oxygen level checks; these are done to help you limit the spread of the virus. All these checks will be conducted multiple times during the activities.

9. Kindly do not register for the event or travel if you have come in contact with someone who has contracted Covid19 in the last 14 days.

10. If any participant tests positive after returning from the event within the next 14 days, they should maintain transparency and inform WSR Outdoors. It will help all others isolate themselves and get tested.

 If you are tired of sitting indoors and want to move outdoors in the fresh countryside, mountains, valleys, fields, and rivers... camping and glamping is the best option.

We follow strict eco-tourism policy (no littering, we take back everything that we carry to camp site). We provide litter bins across the camp site.

Kindly take care of your personal belongings; we will not be responsible for them.

Please leave your shoes outside the tents.

Use of sharp objects or cooking inside the tent not allowed.

Lights out after 11:00 pm; No loud noises after 11:00 pm.

Cancellation policy with respect to your date of booking:

25% deduction of total camp fee booking amount for cancellation done before 21 days

50% deduction of total camp fee booking amount for cancellation done before 5 days

No refund for a cancellation done in the last 4 days before your event.

Lohgad Boat club with Farm House Dhaba on the banks of Pauna Lake is a cool experience to explore.

One can also drive on the other side of the hill to explore ancient Bhaja and/or Karla Caves.

An easy trek to Lohgad fort.

Lonavala is a good place to have your breakfast before you head for Lohgad for a trek and during the evening try famous Chikki and Fudge at Lonavala market.

A drive from Lonavala towards Ambi Valley will bring you to Lion Head Point of Tiger Valley that has an enchanting view from an altitude of over 3000 feet.

Driving further towards Khandala on the way back one can also stop over at Rajmachi View, to get a glimpse of Rajmachi Fort (Shrivardhan and Manranjan)
